The Look: The first thing I noticed in the design is that the background on the original Perky Jerky has now been transformed into a turkey. The words "Perky Jerky" are still done in the same gold and orange bold font as before but now the word "Turkey" has been added in silver lettering above it. Turkey Perky Jerky is labeled as Ultra Premium Turkey Jerky, which is an accurate description in my opinion. On the back they promote the fact that Turkey Perky Jerky is a good source of protein and it is a nutritious snack. Just like the original packaging, I think that they nailed the packing on this one. The only thing I would like to see is a way to reseal the package (there are 2 servings in a bag but good luck stopping after 1).

The Taste: What made the original Perky Jerky so amazing beside the concept was the taste. Perky Jerky still stands as one of the tastiest Beef Jerkies I have ever had. Well following in the originals footsteps, Turkey Perky Jerky is made with the same amazing flavor. Once again they guys at Performance Enhancing Meat Snacks have managed to improve on something that was already good like turkey jerky. This is easily the best turkey jerky that I have ever had.

Does It Work: Aside from protein, Turkey Perky Jerky is flavored with guarana. Guarana is the same stuff that Bawls uses to give their product that extra kick and create a unique flavor. Each bag is 2 oz and a serving is only 1 oz. I tried this out while playing the new Smackdown vs Raw 2011 on Xbox 360 and managed to consume the entire bag in about 45 minutes without even noticing. I found that I was no longer hungry after eating the bag and I was filled with a fairly impressive amount of energy. I might of only been playing video games but my concentration level was above normal and I was getting into the game much more than usual. Each bag of Turkey Perky Jerky contains 100 calories, 220 mg of sodium, 4 g of sugar, 18 g of protein, and guarana.

Overall Thoughts: Anyone who is a fan of beef jerky or turkey jerky needs to give this jerky a shot. The guarana makes the jerky much more tender than average jerky and helps with the unique flavoring. If this isn't the best turkey jerky you have tasted, then it will be one of the best. This stuff is great for video gaming, studying, hiking, or any activity where you want a great snack with an excellent energy boost.
