Jitsu Warrior (Green Apple)

MMA is one of the hottest rising sports currently.  It is no surprise that a company decided to combine the MMA appeal with an energy shot.  The result is Jitsu Warrior.



The Look:  Jitsu Warrior come in a 2 oz camouflage, shrink-wrapped shot.  On the front there is a black image of a wicked looking skull with the words Jitsu Warrior above it.  They managed to fit a bunch of information on the tiny shot while still keeping it fairly uncluttered.  On the back there is nutritional information , directions, and some facts about the shot.  I enjoy the unique shape of the bottle and I also like the edgy design to it.

Taste:  My biggest fear with shots is that they are going to be a 5 Hour Energy Clone.  Jitsu Warrior labels itself as "delicious green apple".  I like apple flavored products so I open it up and take a drink.  Jitsu Warrior did a fantastic job of giving this shot a great apple taste.  It has a nice little bit of sourness that I would expect from a green apple and it keeps away from being overly sweet like apple flavored candy.  This is a fantastic flavored shot that I would put in the top 5 of tastiest energy shots.

Does It Work:  I love energy shots because if done correctly you get the full effects of an energy drink in half the time.  After I downed the Jitsu Warrior shot I became filled with energy in about 10-15 minutes.  I had enough energy where I feel like I could step inside the cage and tear someone up.....inside the UFC 2010 video game anyway. Seriously though I got a very nice kick from this with no jitters.  The energy from Jitsu Warrior last 3-4 hours with no crash in the end.  Great job on this shot!
I got so excited I guess I should let you know what powers each shot: 16 calories, 4 g of sugar, niacin, b6, b12, taurine, caffeine (unlisted amount), and a few other ingredients.  Basically this has all the good stuff and lots of it.

Overall Thoughts:  I am glad to see that Jitsu Warrior really put some effort into this shot.  They could of easily just relied on the MMA gimmick to make a quick buck but they decided to make a shot that kicks some serious ass.  Everything from the edgy packaging, to the fantastic taste, to the great energy kick make this a shot worth checking out.
