No Current Contest
The Look: Rockstar 2X Energy comes in a 12 oz glossy can. On the front the have the Rockstar Star done in mostly yellow and they mention many times on the can about the extra caffeine inside. On top they used a yellow tab that contrasts beautifully against the all black top. Like usual Rockstar really added great details that make this one of the slicker looking cans I have seen recently. I also would like to give Rockstar huge props for listing the caffeine on the can.

Taste: I was a bit worried about how the taste was going to be on this drink. After all they cut out most of the sugar and then added a pretty crazy amount of caffeine so I was expecting the flavor to suffer. Luckily my worries were soon gone after taking my first drink. Rockstar did an amazing job of masking all the caffeine inside and still making it taste pretty good. This still does have an energy drink flavor to it but I don't mind it if done right like Rockstar 2X.

Does It Work: First let's look at what powers Rockstar 2X energy. Inside each 12 oz can there is 250 mg of caffeine (very impressive), 15 calories, 1 g of sugar, 5 different B vitamins, 1000 mg of taurine, panax ginseng, guarana seed, inositol, l-arginine, and l-carnitine. As you can see Rockstar didn't skimp on the ingredients with this one. I drank the entire can down in about 20 minutes and started to feel the effects rather quickly and even got some slight jitters. This is not a light buzz by any means. In fact this is the kind of caffeine buzz that is going to make you want to do all kinds of things and do them rather quickly. It has been a while since a drink has given me this kind of energy and quite frankly I am very impressed by Rockstar. The entire kick last around the 4 hour mark and there was no crash involved.

Overall Thoughts: Rockstar means business with their newest addition to the Rockstar family. Rockstar 2X Energy is a fantastic low carb energy drink that provides a crazy amount of energy for only a 12 oz can. These should start popping up everywhere that sells energy drinks soon and you really need to check them out when they come to your area.

I wasn't in love with the taste but it does have some voltage to it.
the taste is kinda hardcore and drinking too many will soon make u crash and burn and fall on ur face, trust me i've been down there
