Sippin Syrup Kandy

First let's start with a bit of a background on the name Sippin Syrup.  Sippin syrup on the "street" is when someone mixes prescription strength cough syrup (usually containing either codeine or promethazine) with either Sprite or Mountain Dew.  Well of course this mixture is illegal and highly dangerous.  Well leave it to a company to take advantage of the name and come out with a product to mimic the effects.  Today I will be taking on a drink called Sippin Syrup that claims to promote extended relaxation, euphoric thoughts, and calmness.

The Look:  Sippin Syrup comes in a very dark bottle that really helps to give it a underground feel.  Depending on the flavor the coloring on the front will be slightly different.  For Sippin Syrup Kandy they used a pink colored circle with the words Sippin Syrup in the middle.  On the back there is nutritional information and a consume responsibly warning label.  The whole packaging creates a drink that has almost a shady feeling to it and honestly I really like it.

Taste:  They picked a perfect name for the flavor of this.  Sippin Syrup Kandy tastes like candy.  Actually a better description is it taste like liquid cotton candy.  I am surprised with all the sugar in the bottle that they were able to keep the flavor from being syrupy.  There is also a slight amount of carbonation inside the drink that compliments the flavor almost perfectly.  I am impressed that they managed to hide the flavor of the entire calming blend.  Be warned though due to the strength of this, you need to be careful not to drink it to fast (yes I speak from experience, read on to find out more).

Does It Work:  I have had the pleasure of trying a few relaxation beverages so far.  Most of the drinks do a great job of calming your nerves and mellowing you out.  Sippin Syrup goes beyond just mellowing you out and quite frankly will put you straight to sleep.  I am a rather large person at 6' 2" and over 200 lbs yet this drink managed to make me it's b!@#$.  Before I even finished the bottle my eyes started to get heavy and I for some reason had a goofy grin on my face.  By the time I drank the entire bottle I was seriously relaxed.  I had no motivation to do anything and I could feel myself trying to go to sleep.   I see why they call this Sippin Syrup now and not Chugging Syrup.  Do yourself a favor if you try it and sip it.  You also need to make sure you don't have any plans for the rest of the night because you will not be doing much of anything afterwards.
Sippin Syrup Kandy is powered by a calming mixture comprised of chamomile extract, lavendar extract, l-theanine, melatonin, valerian root extract, rose hips extract, St. John's Wort extract, skull cap extract, and kava kava extract.  Along with calming blend that could put down a horse there are also 240 calories, 60 grams of sugar, 4 different B vitamins, and zinc. (Note there are 2 servings per container and I listed what is in the full bottle).

Overall Thoughts:  I am glad that I tried Sippin Syrup Kandy at night time and not during the day when I actually had stuff to do.   Sippin Syrup is easily the strongest of the relaxation beverages that I have tried so and is worth checking out.

I am in my mid 30's and I have mild insomnia. I didn't believe my friend at first, but I tried Sippin Syrups brownies (called 1/2 baked brownzzz) and I got an excellent nights sleep. I bought out the store that was selling them the next day. Once those ran out, I started buying the drinks (Kandy is my favorite...I'd buy it even if it didn't have a "calming effect"). For those that have never experienced insomnia, feel blessed that you don't have to worry every night about how you're going to get to sleep. Now, I don't take Xanax, Somas or Valium to help me get to sleep at night. Great product!
