Hansen's Energy Pro

Today's review is about Hansen's Energy Pro.  The company was nice enough to hook me up with a sample which was nice since I couldn't find it locally.  I know Hansen's is a company that produces juice and soda so I am intrigued about trying the energy drink they sent me.

The Look:  One thing I really like about the can is in big letters it has the word energy printed vertically.  This will really help it stick out on shelves as an energy drink.  The can is done in green with yellow splatter patterns on it.  Turning it around there is a short statement about the Energy Pro branding  next to the nutritional information.

Taste:  Hansen's Energy Pro has a great citrus taste.  I poured it over ice this morning and it looks just like Mountain Dew.  There is a slight amount of carbonation to the drink as well.  It is just as good as any citrus soda I have had without any hint of caffeine taste to it.  I drank the whole can in about 5 minutes this morning.  The light carbonation makes it great for slamming.  Another great drink that doesn't taste like your standard energy drink.

Does It Work:  This 8 oz drink is powered by 120 calories, 32g of sugar, vitamin C, some B vitamins, taurine, ginseng, and 2500mg of their energy blend.  The caffeine amount is not listed but it is just included in the energy blend.  I would put this on par with a regular size 8oz Red Bull on kick.  Nothing over the top but not every situation requires an extreme energy drink.

Overall Thoughts:  This drink is a great citrus energy drink.  Don't expect to be bouncing off the walls or hit with a massive rush of energy with this drink.  This would be a great drink for school, church, or a job with little physical activity.  If you like Mountain Dew or any of the other citrus sodas then you should try this drink if you run across it.  You can check the company out on the web at : Hansens.  This company doesn't just make energy drinks so there is information on the other products they offer there as well.
