Pit Bull Sugar Free

Here is a company I have heard very little about.  I really like the name of the company.  Pit Bull makes me think of one of the tougher dogs that is usually guarding a junk yard etc.  So is this going to be one of the big dogs in the energy world, let's find out.

The Look:  This one comes in an 8.4 oz can(same as a Red Bull).   On the front we get a chain linked background with a picture of a pit bull on the front.  Underneath we get the slogan, "Attitude in a can!".  I think this goes very well with the company name.  On the back there is a short description of the drink as well as nutritional information.

Taste:  The only indication I had about the flavor was the short description on the can.  It states, "a lightly carbonated beverage with a great lemon/line ginger ale taste".  So I open up the can and take a sip.  I was very pleasantly surprised here with the flavor.  I have tried so many Red Bull knock-offs I had originally feared this might be one(before reading the back).  I was greeted with a very crisp lemon/lime flavor.  It reminded me of a tamed down Sprite with less carbonation.  I could of easily chugged this little can down but I wanted to enjoy it.  There is no taste of any nasty chemicals or bad sugarfree aftertaste.  Well done Pitbull!

Kick:  So they have a nice package and a great taste, how well does it perform.   From the back of the can I see they have 80 mg of caffeine along with many vitamins.  I drank this first thing in the morning upon arriving at work(about 8am).  I rely on whatever I drink in the morning to wake me up so I will not be drowsy at work.  After consuming the can I got a very nice lift, nothing crazy here.  I would say it is about the same kick as a standard sized Redbull (I think Pit Bull stomps them on flavor though).  The drink kept me going until about lunch time (10:30, 11:00ish).

Final Thoughts:  I think Pitbull has a good product here.  They have about the same kick as your standard 8 oz drink with an above average flavor.  I noticed from their website they have a bunch of other flavors (I will review them as I try them all).   You can find all the information you want to about them at : http://www.hiphopbev.com/.  If you want an alternative to your everyday Redbull flavored knockoff this is a great choice.  I would drink this again without hesitation.

Yeah, but how is it on mixing alcoholically?

I have not had the chance to mix it with alcohol yet. When I do I will make sure to update the review with that information.

I'm new to energy drinks so I'm not sure how the kick of this drink compares to others. This drink did not make me jittery. As far as taste goes, it reminded me of a water downed Sprite, but was not bad.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything. However think of if you added some great graphics or videos to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this website could definitely be one of the greatest in its niche. Fantastic blog!
