I am one of those people that get excited like a kid in a candy store when I see a new energy drink at the store or gas station. Well this morning I stopped by the gas station and was pretty damn happy when I spotted the new Monster Absolutely Zero. I knew right away I had to buy it and put the review up ASAP.
The Look: Compared the other other Monster cans this one really sticks out. I really like the purple, black, and blue background that covers most of the front. In the middle of the can there is the infamous "M" that looks like it has been clawed into the can. Around the rim they list the fact that there are zero calories and zero sugar. Along with the nutritional information there is a a few paragraphs about why Monster Absolutely Zero was created. I am happy to see more color on the front of the Monster can instead of a black can with a colored "M" on it. I think this is a step up from all the others.

Taste: I wasn't sure what to expect from Absolutely Zero. After opening up the can I knew right away that they stuck with the traditional Monster flavor. The flavor is almost identical to Monster Low Carb. The differences are very minimal and most people will not even notice. Bottom line is if you like the taste of Monster then you should enjoy this.

Does It Work: Monster left out the caffeine amount on the can so I am unsure of how much caffeine is inside Absolutely Zero (I would guess around the 200mg mark per can). The energy blend consist of taurine, ginseng, l-carnitine, guarana, and inositol (there is no mention of caffeine in the energy blend which is odd). There is also the usual B vitamins along with no calories and no sugar. Monster Absolutely Zero is sweetened with erythirol which is something I have not seen before. I drank the entire can in about 20 minutes and got a good energy boost from it that was what I expected from Monster. The energy boost did hit me a bit harder than any of the other Monster drinks I have had.

Overall Thoughts: I think Monster did good with the new Absolutely Zero. The taste is pretty good, the kick is great and the fact there are zero calories and zero sugar is a huge plus. Sitting next to all the other Monster cans I think this can is a breath of fresh air and the added colors look great on the front. I wish they would of altered the taste a bit more to help separate the flavor instead of just making it a healthier version of Monster Low Carb. Monster Absolutely Zero still gets my approval and I think it should be a big hit with anyone watching their calories and sugar intake.

are they comming to dallas. my gas station didnt have it in yet.
I live near Dallas a place called Tyler and found them here. Have you searched the 7-11s in Dallas?
welli actually live in rockwall, but i checked the 7/11s here and they said that they would be in, in about a week. but i know they have to be out here, b/c you got one, and you live about 2hr away...so
This one tastes closer to monster (original) than the lo carb does (in my opinion) new favorite! lets hope they roll out 24oz's and 4 packs for this one!
I live in Los Angeles and they were giving these out for free in Downtown. The taste is really good!
I just had my first Absolutely Zero today. I am a HUGE Lo Carb fan; I think Lo Carb is nature's most perfect liquid. Abs Zero is of the same sort of flavor as Lo Carb, but it has slightly less bite and a slightly thinner mouth feel. It doesn't hold its bite through to the end of the can as well as Lo Carb. Also, Lo Carb is almost like a meal replacement in that it kills my hunger. Abs Zero does not kill my hunger as well. So, I like Abs Zero (and LOVE the can design), but I will only work in a few here and there. Lo Carb is still my staple. Haven't tried Import Light yet.
Thanks for the info
Yes, a fig that does not seem to seriously address the problem!
hey. you said "would of", it's "would've". last paragraph
This monster can not be drank daily and is not a replacement for the normal monster that you drink(if your a caffeine addict like me and drink 1 to 2 a day) after drinking 6 of them in 7 days my levels of Erythirol was to high which caused me to have the worst upset stomach i have ever had so far i have had to go to the bathroom over 30 times in a 24 hour period.
I think this is YUMMY! The best Monster out there. This CAN be drank every day, and I DO drink it every day. Multiple times a day actually.
Is this anywhere in Vancouver BC, Canada?
I love the taste of Absolute Zero. The whole caffeine topic threw me off a bit as well, but after doing some research, there is 2-4.5 times more caffeine in the Guarana bean than in the cocoa bean where we get our normal caffeine in carbonated drinks. So my only concern is how much caffeine is really in it. I will continue to drink Abs Zero until I hear of any adverse health affects from the drink. YEAAHH BUDDY
U wanna butt whooping
Monster Absolutely Zero is great for its zero c and sugar
all other ingredients are present in other foods, they just combined them into a drink. It has a pleasant grape/strawberry/watermelon taste
it has less than half of the caffeine that Red Bull has
