Today's review is over one of the tastier lines of energy drinks I have come across. Today I will be tackling Pitbull Cherry Lime energy drink. Let's see if Pitbull can back up their "Guaranteed No Aftertaste" slogan once again.
The Look: Pitbull Cherry Lime comes at us in a 16oz black can. The have changed the 16 oz cans quite a bit from the 8 oz ones. There is no more chain link fence background or no graphic of a pit bull on the front. Instead we get a graphic of a cherry and a lime to represent the flavor of the drink. The whole color scheme of the can seems to tie in with the flavors pretty well.

Taste: One of Pitbull's big claims is "Guaranteed No Aftertaste". So I open it up and take my first drink. It taste a bunch like a cherry limeade. I wish they would of went with a bit more lime flavoring because the cherry flavor really dominates the drink here. Still pretty good and just like promised there is no aftertaste at all. If you try one of these, plan on drinking it quickly because it goes down smoothly.
(8.5 out of 10)
Does It Work: Inside Pitbull Cherry Lime we get: 220 calories, 54g of sugar, a decent helping of some B vitamins, 160mg of caffeine, and 1500mg of taurine. They went with traditional energy ingredients here and it works pretty well. I would put the buzz on par with your average energy drinks on this, Pitbull once again does beat them on taste. I got about a good 3 hours of energy out of the can with an ever so slight crash after lunch.
(7.5 out of 10)
Overall Thoughts: Pitbull has once again proven that it is a contender in the energy drink market. They have a taste that blows away a bunch of other drinks out there. There is nothing extreme kick wise but not every situation demands a killer kick. You can check them out on the web at: Hip Hop Bev. If for no other reason, you should really check out the Pitbull lineup to taste some of the great flavors they produce.
