Koru Energy Strips

Have you ever had the Listerine Breath Strips?  Imagine that but spiked with caffeine.  Koru Energy Strips are designed to be put on the tongue and give you a jolt of caffeine as it "melts".  A big thanks goes out to Kingofcaffeine.com for hooking me up with these to try.  Onto the review....



The Look:  I love the little tribal face they have on the package.  It just looks awesome.  On the main package you get a giant version of the tribal face with it's tongue hanging out with the slogan "Awaken mind and body".  Once you open up the package there are 4 individually packaged breath strips.  They also included a little sticker inside that has the little tribal guy on it too (stickers are awesome).  One thing I do not like is there is no mention of how much caffeine is in these, I really like to know what I am consuming.  I also think they could of done a bit better on the slogan but other than that I really like the packaging.

Taste:  So I opened up one of the little packages and there is a piece of paper inside.  Brings back memories putting pieces of paper on my tongue so I can alter my mind.....Back on subject.  After I put the paper on my tongue I was greeted with a very minty taste.  The entire thing dissolved in about 15-20 seconds.  There is a very slight aftertaste but the mint covers most of it up.

Does It Work:  After searching around a bit I finally found out there is 40mg of caffeine in each of these strips. (Is it so hard to print how much caffeine is included on that packaging?).  After eating one of these I got a little boost but that wasn't enough to get me going.  So I decided I needed 2 of them.  After the second one I got a great alertness going.  I still wanted to see what these could really do so I decided to have a third.  Oh 3 was a great number to really get me going.  After 3 of them I got the equivalent buzz of a really good energy drink.  There was no crash from these at all.
