Over the past few days I have been trying out all the flavors of a product called Turbo Truffles. Caffeinated goodies don't get too much better than delicious chocolate loaded with 150 mg of caffeine per piece. I will be reviewing all 7 flavors of Turbo Truffles in this review.
The Look: Each Turbo Truffle comes individually wrapped in a primarily black wrapper. Depending on the flavor, a different color is added that contrast fairly nicely against the black. On the front of the package they have the word Turbo Truffle (which is outlined in a different color according to flavor) followed by the words Supercharged Gourmet Chocolate Truffle. I love the fact that even though the packaging is rather small they still managed to include the caffeine content on each one (150 mg per). This is a very nice package that lets you know there is delicious gourmet chocolate infused with a massive amount of caffeine.

Taste: During this review I had to constantly remind myself not to eat these just because I was hungry. These things taste amazing and at 150 mg each you could wind up uncomfortably wired(which I did on more than one occasion). I limited myself to 3 of these day so I could try out each one for review.
Chocolate Mint Madness: This was the first flavor I tried because I love most things that are mint and chocolate. I was not disappointed by this at all. The flavor reminded me of a York Peppermint Patty and there is no caffeine bitterness at all. This is my favorite flavor of the bunch.

Peanut Butter Blast: I expected a bit more peanut butter flavor in these. These are more chocolate tasting with just a hint of peanut butter. It was still extremely tasty but there is a slight aftertaste. I would of liked to of seen these taste more like a Reeeses.

Cosmic Coconut: This flavor is one of my favorites in the bunch. I love the mixture of the coconut and chocolate inside. These make me think of the Samoa girl scout cookies in term of flavor.
(9 out of 10)
Toffee Tornado: Just the right amount of Toffee flavoring was added to this one. It is very smooth and just like most of the others there is no caffeine aftertaste at all.
(8.5 out of 10)
Racing Raspberry: Have you ever had the berry flavored Valentine's Day chocolates? That is what this taste like. The raspberry inside could of been a little bit sweeter but either way it was quite yummy.
(8.5 out of 10)
Hot Rod Hazelnut: This didn't taste like Hazelnut at all. In fact I am not sure how to describe the flavor of this one. I would describe this as that flavor in a mixed box of chocolates that you aren't sure what the hell it is but you still eat it because it taste pretty good.
(8 out of 10)
Coffee Craze: This was my least favorite of the bunch. A big part of this is the fact that I don't really like coffee. If you like coffee you will probably really like the flavor of these but the coffee was just to strong for me to truly enjoy the flavor like the others.
(7 out of 10)
Does It Work: Moderation is the key with these tasty pieces of candy. These are powered by 150 mg of caffeine and sugar. Be warned these are so tasty that it will be almost impossible for you to only eat one of them. Every time I had one I ended up having a second one almost immediately afterwards then I had to remind myself that I just had 300 mg of caffeine (I had to cut myself off). If you want to get wired very quickly these are a surefire way to do so.
(8 out of 10) This score is for one piece
Overall Thoughts: If you like good chocolate then you owe it to yourself to try these out. You can usually pick these up for fifty cents or less each which is a tremendous value for the buzz they provide. Tasty chocolate plus a crazy amount of caffeine equals an amazing product.

Caffeinated truffles?
Shit, you had me at truffles, dude....
This. Is. Amazing.
I MUST try these. No chances they're in stores, huh? Just online?
As far as I know they are not in any stores. If you just want to try out a few I would recommend buying them from Kingofcaffeine at only $.50 each. If you want to buy a sample pack I know you can get a 50 pack sampler from turbotruffle.com for a very good price.
