Xyience Cherry Lime

I am going to start off this work week with a review on Xyience Cherry Lime.  I am a big MMA fan and a big energy drink fan so I have high expectations for this drink.  Let's see if this drink can give me the energy needed to plow through the day.

The Look:   Xyience Cherry Lime comes at us in a 16 oz silver can.  On the front of the can we get the Xyience logo with a bar code graphic above the branding "Xenergy Cherry Lime".  Under the flavor there is a logo about being the official drink of the UFC.  Turning the can around is the usual nutritional information but there is no passage about the company or flavor.  Also on the side of the can there is another cool bar code logo printed vertically on the can with the slogan, "Xtreme science for your active lifestyle".  I really like this can.  It tells you everything you need to know about the drink and has a very clean look to it.

Taste:  One of the big parts of this drink is it is 0 calories and 0 sugar.  Let's see if it taste like a sugar free drink.  Wow, this drink taste like a diet cherry Sprite or diet cherry 7up.  I wasn't expecting a flavor this good with no calories and no sugar.  The carbonation is also not too heavy so you can drink this can down pretty quickly.  This is a very smooth drink with no vitamin or caffeine taste.  I am amazed at how good companies are becoming at making sugar free energy drinks taste so good.

Does It Work:  Xyience is powered by a handful of B vitamins, potassium, and their proprietary blend.  The caffeine amount is not listed but I would guess about 160 mg for the entire can.  With the great taste, this drink did not last long this morning.  I consumed the entire can in about 15-20 minutes.  After drinking it I got a nice burst of energy that seemed to last for a good  amount of time.  There was nothing over the top here with energy but I got a good boost that lasted about 4 hours with no crash afterwards.  Expect a buzz slightly better than the average energy drink with this can.

Overall Thoughts:  I am pretty happy with my first Xyience "Xperience" (see what I just did there).  This drink has a nice can, a good taste, and a solid buzz.  You can also feel good about drinking this because you don't get loaded down with any sugar or calories.  This drink works well for about any situation.  The buzz isn't crazy strong so you could still drink this at work, school, etc.  I haven't had the chance to try it yet but I think this would be good workout drink as well.  For my next sampling of Xyience I will give it a try before my workout and see how it does.  I recommend this drink without any hesitation.  I have seen these at GNC from time to time as well as several gas stations.  You can also check them out on the web at : Xyience where they have a bunch of product information as well as a place to order online.
