Ed Hardy Energy Mints

Today I will be taking on another product by Ed hardy.  The Chocolate Rocks they made really impressed me so I am hoping the Energy Mints leave a good taste in my mouth as well.



The Look:  Ed Hardy King Dog Energy Mints come in a red tin.  On the front there is a picture of a bull dog wearing a crown with the words King Dog Energy Mints next to it.  I also like how they included the intensely caffeinated warning on the front.  On the back there is nutritional information as well as a diagram showing 5 mints is equal to 100mg of caffeine.  I like the job they did on these mints, it tells you what you need to know with no clutter.

Taste:  Most of the energy mints I have reviewed so far are made to last for a bit.  Ed Hardy took an Altoid type of approach.  They are about the same size of an Altoid and they have a softer texture than some of the harder mints out there.  When you bite into one they have a very strong peppermint taste.  The strong peppermint works very well because there is absolutely no hint of caffeine anywhere.

Does It Work:  Over the course of about 10 minutes I managed to eat about 10 of these little mints(200mg worth of caffeine).  Shortly after eating them , I not only had insanely fresh breath but I also had a great caffeine buzz.  These little mints will pick you and keep you going for a good amount of time with no crash.  According to the nutritional facts there are about 36 mints in here (roughly 700+ mg of caffeine).  I didn't get the insanely wired rush I got from the Chocolate Rocks but I still got a great kick from them.

Overall Thoughts:  I have to admit, I will never be the type of person that wears Ed Hardy Clothing.  It just doesn't appeal to me.  I will however gladly buy any of the Ed Hardy Energy Products.  Ed Hardy could of easily just put their name on some crap product but instead they put some time and effort into each item.  You can check them out online at Ed Hardy Snacks.  If you get the chance you really should check out some of the Ed Hardy energy products, I don't think you will be disappointed.
