Monster Lo Carb

If you haven't heard of Monster then you have apparently been living under a rock somewhere.  There are a few big players in the energy drink world and Monster is one of the top dogs.  After multiple request from readers I decided I would offer my opinion of Lo Carb Monster.

The Look:  One thing Monster really knows how to do is the packaging.  This is a can you are proud to show off.  I love the black can with the M in the middle made to look like claw marks coming out of the can.  The one I am choosing also has an awesome resealable top which is great if you don't want to drink all 24 oz.  They kept the packaging very simple and the package is simply outstanding.
(9 out of 10)

Taste:  Funny thing here:  If I would of reviewed the flavor many years ago before I started this site I would of gave Monster a better score on taste.  I am not going to go into detail here on the taste.  Monster has a taste that many out there try to clone.  As far as energy drinks that taste like energy drinks, Monster Lo Carb is great.  The problem is though that energy drink companies are getting very good at making drinks not taste like an energy drink.
As a mixer, Monster is one of my favorite.  It is readily available and a decent price.  If you have never had a Monster and Jager then I highly suggest you try one (assuming you are of legal age).
(8 out of 10) Yes it is good but in today's market there are a bunch better

Does It Work:  Monster is one of the drinks I like to use as a comparison on reviews.  After drinking one of these down you will get a nice buzz.  It is nothing spectacular but it is no slacker either.  In each serving(8 oz) of Lo Carb Monster you get: 10 calories, 3g of sugar, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, taurine, panax ginseng, and of course caffeine (80 mg per 8 oz).  Expect a nice buzz that last until about the 3-4 hour mark with no crash.
(8.5 out of 10) Just because I am drinking the 24 oz variety.  The 16 oz only scores an 8 out of 10.

Overall Thoughts:  Monster knows what they are doing.  If you mention Monster, everyone will know what you are talking about.  They have great advertising, you can find them everywhere, and they provide a decent kick.  Another thing I really like about Monster is that they are constantly coming out with new flavors, which is always a good thing in my book.  If you are looking for a good energy drink that won't add a bunch of extra calories then I can pretty easily recommend Lo Carb Monster.  Go to your local store and pick one up and let me know your thoughts below.

Drink is by far a leader in it's class.

It's great to get in regular size or in BFC! It's prob not advised but has been a great replacement to another popular mixer due to better value vs price.
