IronClad Goji Berry

Today I will be taking on the third (and at this time) final flavor of IronClad.  IronClad is a brand that is really growing on me.  You don't really fully appreciate them until you do something active and then the electrolytes come into play.

The Look:  The can for IronClad Goji Berry is my favorite of the IronClad lineup.  The design is still the same but there is just something about the red color that brings the can together very well.  On the back of the can there is a passage about the company as well as a short passage about the hammer tabs promotion.

Taste:  I have no idea what a goji berry is so I don't know what to expect from this.  Opening it up I get a nice berry scent.  The best way I can describe the taste is a bunch like a lightly carbonated Gatorade(like a weak fruit punch with a few other flavors in there).  This is my favorite flavor of the IronClad lineup.  The flavor is mild and the carbonation is very minimal so you can really drink down when you are dehydrated.  Great job IronClad!

Does It Work:   As an energy drink this is just average but when you mix in the electrolytes it becomes fantastic.  You get 154mg of caffeine, some B vitamins, calcium, chromium, magnesium, potassium, taurine, guarana, l-leucine, l-valine, d-ribose, 40g of sugar, and 180 calories powering IronClad Goji Berry.  Like I said the energy blend is nice but when you are dehydrated you will really appreciate the added electrolytes.

Overall Thoughts:  IronClad did great on this one.  I was not disappointed at all and really enjoyed the drink.  If you are looking for a good energy drink or a nice sport drink then you should pick up an IronClad.  You can check them out on the web at: IronClad Energy.  As always let me know in the comments section your opinions.
I was just recently contacted by IronClad and they have reformulated the sugar free IronClad Black & Blue.  I will be updating the review very soon so look out for it.

Nice post. I should definitely try it sometime. I'm curious to see what this Goji Berry energy drink tastes like.
