Nawgan is more than just an energy drink, in fact it labels itself as a drink that supports memory and thinking. Luckily it has 100mg of caffeine in an 8 oz can so I decided it qualified for review on the site.
The Look: There are two different varieties of Nawgan, one caffeine free and one with caffeine. I of course will be reviewing the variety with caffeine. The can is kept very simple with some wording on the front and a diagram of a brain with a maze in it. On the back there is nutritional information as well as a memory challenge. I think for the targeted audience the can looks good.
(7.5 out of 10)
Taste: The taste of Nawgan is labeled as berry. That is a very good description. It reminds me of a Crystal Light or something similar. It is very low in sugar (6g per can) and also low in sodium (less than 1mg). There is no carbonation in the drink so it goes down very smoothly. The only thing that caught me off guard was I was expecting carbonation at first and my taste buds reacted oddly when there was none. Luckily after the first drink my taste buds adjusted.

Does It Work: I will be judging the score here by more than just the energy ingredients. Nawgan doesn't label itself as an energy drink so I am going to score it accordingly. In each can you get 25 calories, 6 g of sugar, 100 mg of caffeine, citicoline, lycopene, and alpha-glyceryl phosphoryl choline (I had to look that one up). After drinking this the caffeine managed to wake me up rather well this morning and I felt like I was able to get work accomplished without thinking about it. This would be a great drink for studying or anything that requires you to think more than normal.
(8 out of 10)
Overall Thoughts: I am really beginning to like these drinks coming out that support memory and brain function. They offer something besides just your average energy drink blend and they usually work pretty well. You can check them out online at Nawgan. I would definitely recommend this drink to any students out there or people that are required to think constantly at their job. This one has my thumbs up!

energy drink without the energy? that cant be! why would someone create an un-caffeine energy drink?
Greetings SJ,
Apologies for a late response to your comment. I am the brain scientist (clinician and researcher) that created Nawgan.
We developed a noncaffeinated version of Nawgan for young individuals as well as individuals sensitive to the stimulant effects of caffeine. For those individuals, the noncaffeinated version offers all of the outstanding credible ingredients in Nawgan that compliment the caffeine.
For the rest of us that enjoy stimulating our adenosine receptors, the caffeinated version provides the broader impact.
Hope this helps to answer your question.
Nawgan - It's what to drink when you want to think!

I am a stroke patient. I had cerebral homerrage about 2 years ago. I am going thru physical therapy. A family member, who has practice in Boston, MA suggested me to take NAWGAN. I have been taking one can every day. I am already seeing positive eesults, although it is too early to say anything. But surely it is working for me. I was able to walk with walker. Since I started taking NAWGAN, amagingly I can walk a short distant without a walker. I am very much encouraged. Tomorrow I am going to order caffeinated. I will also contact Dr. Rob Paul about this.
