Bump

A big thanks to EDjunkie.com for sending me this drink I will be reviewing today.  I have been putting off this drink for quite some time now because of the high amount of sugar (53 g in a 10 oz can...yikes).  I had a bunch to do today so I figured today would be as good of a day as any.  Let's check out Bump energy drink.



The Look:  I think Bump did a fantastic job on the packaging.   The drink comes in a 10.5 oz black glossy can. On the front they have what looks like the stripes of the road with the word Bump on a road sign in the middle.  Underneath that in a white font they have the slogan, "Gets you to the next level."  On the reverse side you get the usual passage about the company and nutritional facts.  I like the can it has a sleek and clean look to it.

Taste:  I was expecting a very sweet drink from all the sugar.  I have to say I was correct.  Upon my first sip my cheeks got tense from the sourness of the cherry in the drink.  After my taste buds finally calmed down for a second I got a very nice pomegranate and citrus flavor that really tasted great.   At first I wasn't sure if I would like the sourness followed by the citrus but after a drink or two I really began to enjoy it.  This is a very flavorful drink that really gives your taste buds a treat.

Does It Work:  I am very surprised at the amount of energy that is in each Bump.  Inside each 10.5 oz can you get 197 mg of caffeine, a very high amount of vitamins B6, B5, and B12, over 1300 mg of taurine, and quite a few other ingredients.  After drinking this down this morning I was filled with a massive energy rush.  This outperforms almost all other energy drinks of comparable size.  Expect to be wired, slightly jittery, and completely amped up.

Overall Thoughts:  It has been awhile since a drink left me so energized.  I would not recommend Bump if you plan on not doing anything because it isn't possible.  I can easily recommend this drink and would without a doubt drink it again.  If you are looking for a drink that blows most other energy drinks away in every category then grab yourself a Bump and let me know what you think.
