Hype

I have had one other Hype flavor so far and it scored pretty good.  Up for review today we have the original flavor of Hype.



The Look:  Hype comes in an 8.4 oz silver can.  There is not much on the front except the words Hype Energy.  They do have a cool slogan I like "Believe the hype" but unfortunately it blends in with the diagonal pattern and it is very hard to see.  On the back of the can there is nutritional information as well as an ingredient list with a bit mixed in about the company.  This is a solid can that proves that less can be more when it comes to can design.

Taste:  I got a little bit worried when I first opened the can because the scent of a Red Bull clone filled the air.  Hype taste like an energy drink but a very well done energy drink.  I like how the flavors involved are very defined and you can tell Hype really put some thought into it.  I luckily had two cans so I was able to use one as a mixer (thanks to EDjunkie.com for the awesome Hype shot glass) and I used the other one to wake me up in the morning straight from the can.  I thought as a mixer Hype worked really well and I would easily grab one for my Jager bombs if it was available locally.

Does It Work:  Hype has a very nice blend of ingredients that work well to really get you going.  Inside each can there is 110 calories, 27g of sugar, 1 gram of protein, Vitamin C, Vitamin E,  7 different B vitamins, and 80 mg of caffeine.  Compared to other drinks of a similar size I think that Hype proved it can hang with the big boys.

Overall Thoughts:  I have to agree with the slogan on the can, "Believe the hype!".  This was a great drink that delivered in taste, kick, and even has a nice can.  You can check out the company online on the Hype website where you can read about the company and even order some.  If you are in the mood for a great tasting energy drink, give Hype a shot.
