Go Fast Coconut Energy

It was so refreshing to discover an energy drink that wasn't a traditional flavor.  The market is filled with orange energy drinks, berry energy drinks, citrus energy drinks, etc.  Go Fast has came up with a coconut flavored energy drink that breaks the traditional mold and I am excited to get my hands on it.



The Look:  Go Fast Coconut Energy comes in a 16 oz can.  On the front there is a picture of a coconut split in half and the words Go Fast spread diagonally across the can.  They also list some of the main energy producing ingredients on the front as well as the usual nutritional information on the back.  The can has a nice look to it.

Taste:  Coconut is one of those things that usually doesn't appeal to me.  It is usually over sweet or very fake tasting.  Luckily for me Go Fast nailed this flavor.  The first part of this drink you are greeted with a traditional energy drink flavor and then almost immediately the coconut hits your taste buds.  Somehow they managed to make this drink work very well and I am not even a big fan of coconut.  There was no caffeine taste or vitamin aftertaste in the drink at all.

Does It Work:  This drink has all the good stuff in it: caffeine(162mg), taurine, ginseng, guarana, ginseng, ribose, ginko, B vitamins, and some other great stuff.  You get all this with about half the amount of sugar in a traditional energy drink.  After slamming this drink down this morning I got hit with a nice energy boost.  It has a very nice buzz that wasn't over the top but at the same time it doesn't lack power.  I was going pretty strong for 4 hours with no crash.

Overall Thoughts:  I would not of thought that a coconut flavored energy drink would of worked but Go Fast has proven me wrong.  The flavor is extremely smooth and is one of the more unique flavors I have had in an energy drink.  On top of the great flavor there is also a very nice pick me up from the drink as well.  If you are lucky enough to run across one of these you should give it a try.
