Rage Inferno

When I got this package in the mail I wasn't expecting such a cool looking energy drink.  The packaging for Rage Inferno is simply awesome.  Let's see if the drink inside can match the pure awesomeness of the packaging.

The Look:  There are a bunch of things I really like about the package.  First off I really like drinks that stand out with some crazy packaging.  It is not possible to see someone holding this drink and not be curious about it.  They went with a red 24 oz bottle to make the whole bottle look like a fire extinguisher.  On the cap they have a really cool looking spout (unfortunately it is only for decorations, kind of disappointed about that). They even went as far as to put some little fire safety type of pictures on the front to really help with the theme.  On the back there is nutritional information as well as some caffeine precautions.  It would of been cool to be able to actually drink from the nozzle as well but that is more of something I want than a problem with the design.

Taste:  There is no indication of flavor listed on the bottle so I was not sure what to expect.  Rage Inferno has a very pleasant carbonated, fruit punch taste.  The flavor isn't original but the bottom line is that it works very well.  They managed to make the flavor not to sweet and not to tart and I think it led to a great tasting drink.  I was able to drink the bottle down very easily this morning and I found it quite refreshing.

Does It Work:  Rage was not playing around when they created Inferno.  Inside each bottle there is 375 mg of caffeine, 3000 mg of taurine, vitamins B3, B6, B12, and d-glucuronolactone.  If you are brave enough like I was to finish this in one sitting you will be filled with a serious amount of energy.  I got a strong caffeine rush with a small amount of jitters that easily lasted 4-5 hours with a small crash.

Overall Thoughts:  I think Rage Inferno is another great addition to the Rage lineup of drinks.  They went one step above making a drink with a good flavor and great buzz by adding a kick ass bottle to it.  If you live in Canada you are probably lucky enough to find these in quite a few locations but anywhere else and you will have to find another place to buy one.

Wow. I would buy that just for the packaging alone! :-D
