The Look: Quake Lo-Carb comes in a primarily black 16 oz can with blue and white writing. On the front they have the word Quake written vertically in some wacky font. Some of the key ingredients are listed around the top of the can and the back of the can has the usual nutritional information. Nothing special here.

Taste: As soon as I opened the can, the familiar scent of Monster was very noticeable. Imagine the flavor of Low Carb Monster but with more gumminess and a bit more citrus and that is what Quake Lo-Carb taste like. This drink is fairly unoriginal in terms of flavor and instead of doing a direct clone of Monster or enhancing it I would say they took the drink a step down.

Does It Work: Each can of Quake Lo-Carb is powered by 10 calories, 2 g of carbs, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and undisclosed amounts of taurine and caffeine. Just like the other categories I have scored so far the kick department is nothing special. I got a 3 hour buzz that was a little bit weaker than a Monster and it ended with no crash.

Overall Thoughts: There was nothing actually wrong with Quake but the problem is that it is nothing special. The look is generic, the taste is a Monster clone but with a lot more gumminess, and the kick is just average. If you are able to spot one of these for $1 or less they might be worth checking out but for the $2 I paid I would have to recommend against buying one. Quake Lo-Carb does not get the Caffeine A Holic approval.

I get my energy drinks @ a rly small resale shop in town tht carries energy drinks that I haven't found anywhere else. I found a can of Quake there and recently found a drink call Freek. There are several flavors but after checking their site, it seems to be discontinued. I was wondering if you had ever tried it and if you had, had reviewed it?
Just wondering how safe is quake energy drink for kids 11 and up
