The Look: This is an energy shot that easily stands out among all the generic energy shot bottles out there. Tomic comes in a 2.5 oz plastic bottle that resembles a grenade. The color of the packaging is done in green and there is even a little picture of a pin for the grenade towards the cap. Continuing on the grenade theme they have the word Tomic in the center of the packaging with the phrase "with explosive focus" underneath that. The only fault I have for the packaging is that the caffeine content is not listed.

Taste: The flavor of Tomic energy shots is listed as fruit flavor. Opening it up I notice right away the traditional energy shot smell (i.e. 5 Hour Energy). Upon taking my first sip the flavor matches the smell pretty well. This is nothing bad as I like the flavor of 5 hour energy but I would of liked to of scene a more unique flavor to match the truly unique packaging.

Does It Work: I wouldn't say Tomic gave me an explosive energy boost but it was very noticeable. After drinking down the shot, I got a nice energy boost that I would put slightly above your average energy shot. Inside each shot there is niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, taurine, malic acid, n-acetyl-L-tyrosine, l-phenylaline, caffeine (amount not listed), glucuronolactone, and citicoline. You get all this with only 5 calories and 0 grams of sugar.

Overall Thoughts: Tomic does a great job separating itself from the rest in terms of packaging. The flavor might not be original but it still taste better than a bunch of other shots out there. All this is enough for me to give Tomic energy shots the Caffeine A Holic seal of approval!

Have you tried Bomba? They are a normal size energy drink in a glass bottle shaped like a grenade. They have a nifty little pull off tab on top that resembles a grenade pin too!
