The Look: 12 Gauge Energy Shot as I mentioned earlier is modeled to resemble a shotgun shell. The company did an excellent job on the packaging and the overall product is simply kick ass. Even the flavor has an awesome name : "kick ass cola". The only gripe I have for the entire package is that the caffeine content would be nice to know.

Taste: Sometimes I get worried when I get novelty energy products because they are usually generic. Luckily for me 12 Gauge Energy Shot is Cola flavored and managed to break away from the generic mold very easily with the flavor. The shot taste like a flat cola with a bit of a weak berry finish. This is a seriously tasty shot that is one of the better shots I have tried. Also if you are of age you should try out one of these as a mixer. In fact on the label they even have a few suggestions for drinks to try.

Does It Work: This shot is powered by a bunch of the good stuff: caffeine, taurine, a rather large quantity of B vitamins, and some other quality ingredients. Also included in the shot is an enzyme blend that I have not seen in most shots. Did I mention that all this comes with 0 calories and 0 carbs (always a plus in my book). I slammed this down in the morning to help me plow through my Monday morning work. About 20 minutes after drink 12 Gauge Energy Shot I started to get a very nice alertness that was slightly above your average energy shot. I got a bit over 4 hours of energy and there was no crash at the end.

Overall Thoughts: 12 Gauge Energy has done everything right in my eyes. They have an excellent container, the taste is fantastic, and the buzz is easily above average. You should give these a shot as both a straight shot and a mixer. As always I love to hear your thoughts and comments.
