HyDrive Orange Burst Chews

HyDrive makes some amazing drinks so I am looking forward to being able to review their energy chews.  They have 2 flavors of the chews and today I will be taking on Orange Burst.  Let's see if they chews can perform as well as their drinks do.



The Look:  One thing I really like about HyDrive is the clean packaging they have.  They always manage to put everything you want to know on a very uncluttered package.  HyDrive Energy Chews are no exception.  They went with an orange package to go with the orange flavor and the color scheme looks very nice.  On the back of the package there is a short passage about the product and nutritional information.

Taste:  These are some of the tastiest energy chews I have had.  They did a great job on covering up all the energy ingredients and I am very pleased with the texture.  The chews have a very nice orange sherbet taste to them.  There are 2 servings in a package and I would find it very easy to eat both servings at once because the flavor is pretty tasty.

Does It Work:  Each serving (2 chews) is powered by 40 calories, 100mg of calcium, 16mg of potassium, vitamin C, several B vitamins, 80 mg of caffeine, and 66mg of taurine.  HyDrive did a nice job of cramming in a good amount of ingredients while still maintaining a fantastic taste.  After I ate 2 of these I got a  pretty nice pick me up with no crash.  I would put these on par with your average 8 oz energy drink in terms of kick.

Overall Thoughts:  I have tried a few brands of energy chews so far and HyDrive is one of the better ones on the market.  The taste is very good, the consistency and texture is done well, and the kick is nice.  I have ran across these at a few gas stations and you can also order them from the HyDrive website (They have a promo deal where you can buy 2 packs for just 1.99 with no S&H).  If you want to try out energy chews for yourself then HyDrive would be a great choice.
